Submission Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in submitting your work to Rasa Books. We are an independent multilingual Rohingya publishing house that publishes fiction, poetry, history, biography, cultural and children education books in Rohingya, Burmese and English.
- We accept manuscripts in Rohingya, Burmese and English
- Manuscripts must be submitted either as PDF or in a Word document. We cannot consider multiple submissions (i.e., if you are submitting to other publishers at the same time). If you don’t hear from us in three months, then feel free to inquire elsewhere.
- We cannot publish whole works that have been published before, in any form or language, in any country.
- Manuscript must be written by you, a human, in your own words – not with the help of ChatGPT or any other AI writing tool. We are thrilled to hear your stories, in your own, unique voice.
- Please send a one-page personal bio together with your manuscript. Manuscripts are considered only on the basis of their own merit, according to our criteria.
- Please state if you are a Rohingya or Burmese in your submission.

If we are interested in your submission, you can expect to hear from us within 3 months after we receive your submission. Since we are a small operation, we would prioritise solicited or qualitative manuscripts and are unable to respond to all submissions unless interested in publishing it.
